All Things Garlic

We grow MOFGA-certified organic seed garlic.

What’s the difference between seed garlic and regular garlic?

It costs more! Seriously though, seed garlic is meant to be replanted. You can eat it, and it tastes fabulous, but you pay more for it because it tends to be of higher quality for propagation and, if you buy it from a good grower, you shouldn’t have problems with diseases.

In 2009 we have several porcelain and rocambole varieties, and small quantities of several soft-necks.

If this means nothing to you, you can learn more than you ever needed to know about garlic varieties at the Garlic Seed Foundation, run by long-time organic garlic producer David Stern in Rose, New York.
